Ideas in Action for schools
This workshop is designed for schools.
Who will benefit
The objective of this workshop is to build on teachers’ and other educationalists’ existing knowledge in dealing with their own and their pupils’ personal development. By introducing the concept of coaching and NLP (neuro linguistic programming) teachers will be better equipped to understand their own emotional state, and to appreciate how powerful being in control of this state is in influencing their professional performance and their pupils’ learning journey.
Life coaching can help individuals to challenge their own limiting beliefs in their professional and personal lives. Moreover, life coaching with NLP can be used with pupils to help them to achieve their learning goals and deal more effectively with issues such as bullies and other emotional set backs.

Mint workshop
Education Minister, Iain Wright, said: “The days when young people could leave school at 16 without qualifications and find themselves a rewarding career are long gone”.
Leaving school and entering higher education can unsettle some young people. The ethos of secondary school is diverse in comparison to higher education. At college, students are encouraged to take responsibility for their study schedules and they are pretty much treated as adults rather than children. Some young people might find it difficult to organise their study and end up failing to plan effectively, consequently not reaching their full academic potential, not passing important exams or dropping out.
Who can benefit?
Mint is a workshop close to Chain Reaction’s heart. The aim of this workshop is to help young people stay in education and expand their horizons. We explore with young people what the benefits are to staying in education and not dropping out when challenges strike, such as personality clashes, a hard to grasp subject, learning difficulties such as dyslexia or any other issues. In this workshop we intend to share techniques that will help young people to be more in control of their emotions and learn to make decisions that work for them.
Mint workshop has been created to present to young people the benefit of being more disciplined, planning effectively and introducing to them some crucial life skills such as social behaviour and self-coaching techniques.
Young people tend to be less confident and more influenced by others. Mint workshop will help them to build their confidence, motivation and the ability to create achievable goals.
In this workshop we will cover:
- Options and consequences
- Finding your vision
- Goal setting
